Thanks to support from Quantum Racing, the GL52 team provides a Coaching & Briefing program that elevates the performance of all boats making for better racing throughout the entire fleet.
Capture:
Our Coaches gather real-time sailing data on the race course. Drone footage captures our starts and mark rounding giving great educational perspective as to what occurred on the water.
Compile:
The resulting photos, videos and data are compiled and shared with owners, tacticians and key team members in next-day, pre-race briefings. These briefings provide insight on what is to come for the day ahead.
Share:
Fleet coaches share comparative photos of rig tune and sail trim. Videos and data of each race start and key mark rounding are reviewed followed by a weather briefing for the day. Then the PRO, technical team and on-the-water umpires share information as needed.
Sailors are encouraged to ask questions of the coaches and their fellow competitors.
At times we invite our community partners to visit our morning fleet briefings to learn about grand prix racing and meet our sailors. It’s a great way to educate and inspiring those involved in community level sailing to what it takes to pursue a greater level of racing.
