The purpose of The Pensacola Yacht Club Satori Foundation is to inspire interest in and encourage and promote the sport of sailing and yachting and a broad range of maritime activities. The foundation is established to develop educational and training programs for the sports of sailing and yachting, for seamanship and for marine education. The Foundation will receive, maintain, use and apply funds and assets exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes.
At the recent GL52 Southern Series 2026, we worked with the Satori Foundation to host local students giving them an inside look at our fleet with dockside boat tours and technology demonstrations. Thirty-four 8th grade students from the Dixon School learned about our race committee on-the-water systems including MarkSetBot, Vakaros and drones.
WINDQUEST crew members Sara Stone and Matt Cassidy taught the students about the GL52 then coached them on the handles to grind a bowman up the rig!

PYC Satori offers hands-on fun lessons, to enlighten community youth that science and technology are achievable. These STEM lessons improve confidence and self-esteem, to help open new doors to a brighter future. We have 2 primary tracks for Pensacola Community Youth:
- Sailing STEM and Outreach Sails, as well as Marine & Environmental Science trips on our Pontoon boats (Tritoons) with activities and lessons in the water.
- Awarding scholarships to summer sailing camp and year-round sailing, as well as scholarships for swimming lessons.
