MOCKINGBIRD is owned by Chris Duhon and sails for the Columbia Yacht Club. After several years competing on Tequila Mockingbird, they started the TP52 program in 2018 with an older boat. In 2021 they upgraded to the 2015 boat they are currently sailing.
Last year, MOCKINGBIRD was second overall corrected in their division on Chicago Yacht Club’s Race to Mackinac, and backed that up the following weekend by winning their division in the 100th running of the Bayview to Mackinac race. Over the winter, the team added a Cape 31 (Tequila Mockingbird) and was able to narrowly win their sections at both the Southernmost Regatta in Key West as well as the Charleston Race Week Regatta.
With a team led by Ben Lamb and Stu Bannatyne, MOCKINGBIRD has built a balance of new and returning team members for the 2025 season. Like always, the crew comprises a healthy mix of experience, with several young up-and-comers, as well as a balance of professional and amateur sailors.
