NIMBUS is a Judel/Vrolijk TP52 based out of Buffalo, NY, and we’re proud to be part of the GL52 fleet—a class that pushes every team to be sharper, faster, and more prepared with each regatta. While our home base is on Lake Erie, we travel across the Great Lakes and beyond to line up against some of the best boats and crews in the region.

Our team is built on consistency and depth. Most of us have been racing together for years across multiple programs and platforms, and that long-standing trust makes a difference. We understand how to communicate under pressure, how to stay locked in when conditions are tough, and how to make decisions as a unit. That cohesion is something we’ve worked hard to maintain as we evolve the program.

Jack Kitrenos, our owner and skipper, has led competitive programs for decades. He’s raced everything from a Tartan 10 and J/35 to a J/105, Beneteau 40.7, and Farr 40. His experience and leadership shape everything we do, from boat prep to team dynamics. With NIMBUS, we’ve taken that foundation and built a program around a modern grand-prix boat that rewards precision and consistency. The TP52 demands focus, and we’ve structured the team to meet that standard every time we leave the dock.

The GL52 fleet continues to raise the bar, and we welcome that challenge. Every sail on Nimbus gives us another opportunity to test ourselves and keep pushing forward.
