June 14, 2025: After 3 races on Day 2 at the 2025 GL52 Big Red Regatta, John Huhn’s KATANA with two firsts and a second place finish added just 4 points to their score keeping this team at the top of the leaderboard with 10 pts. Competition for the remaining podium positions is formidable. Sharon & Philip O’Niel III’s NATALIE J with 19 pts. is now in second place having nudged Laura & Robert Hughes’ HEARTBREAKER and Peter Askew’s WIZARD team into a tie for third place with 20 points each. Doug DeVos’ WINDQUEST with 29 pts. is still within striking distance of the podium as is Chris Duhon’s MOCKINGBIRD with 30 pts. Although not reflected by their 40 pt. score, Larry Landry & Paul McDowell’s PROSPECTOR team shows continuous improvement and may yet play a role as spoiler. (Results below)
